The Championship game between Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion finished 1-2. The away side West Brom was in control and ahead 2-0, and managed to see the game off despite a comeback attempt by Blackburn.

The visiting team West Bromwich Albion started the match at pace and took the lead straight away at the start of the game. After only one minute Alex Mowatt found the net.

Straight after the break, Matthew Phillips found the net and increased the team’s lead.

In the 51st minute, Ben Brereton scored, to reduce the score for Blackburn Rovers. However, Blackburn Rovers were unable to make more of an impression. This brought the final score to 1-2.

After four games, Blackburn Rovers have seven points while West Bromwich Albion have 10.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 1-1 draw, with Blackburn Rovers at home in July 2020.
