The second-half goal from Fisher was to be the only goal of the game when Newport County won 1-0 (0-0) away to Tranmere in the England League Two.

The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 60th minute before Alex Fisher scored to make it 1–0 for Newport County, which was how the game ended.

Tranmere have five points after four games, while Newport County have six points from three games.

The last outing between the teams ended in a 1-0 home win for Tranmere in March 2021.
