UEFA Champions League football ball

Another year, another disappointment. They have a fabulous jersey, an excellent marketing team, all the money in the world, and Messi, Neymar, Mbappe. Paris Saint-German is a club which has everything. Yet, they fail to satisfy their European hungry every single time.

PSG has been obsessively chasing the Champions League for the past decade or so, and after getting even the great Lionel Messi they have faulted once more.

Last year they made the semi-finals, the year before they lost in the finals and this year they have been eliminated by the Los Blancos as soon as the Round of 16 itself.

With each passing year, Paris seems to be evolving backward and it looks like they are out of ideas on how to win the Champions League.

Something, 13 times Champions Real Madrid have no problem in!

Real Madrid can literally be at the bottom of the La Liga table and still win you the Champions League. They are something else when it comes to this competition and they never fail to perform on the biggest European stage.

Real Madrid, the European Royalty will always have answers to your questions, if it’s a Tuesday or a Wednesday night! They are that good in the UCL and one should never count them out.

PSG asked Real Madrid some serious questions but Donnarumma helped and Karim Benzema became the messiah.

Story of the Match

Real Madrid advanced to the Champions League quarter-finals by coming from behind to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 (3-2 on aggregate) at the Bernabeu, so let’s find out how it all happened!

Carlo Ancelotti’s team got out to a fast start, creating a number of chances that they couldn’t convert. PSG eventually relaxed into the game and took the lead after 39 minutes thanks to Kylian Mbappe’s score.

After the break, Real came out strong once more and was rewarded when PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma delayed on the ball before clearing it straight to Vinicius, who pulled it back for Karim Benzema to slot home after an hour.

Panic broke out in the PSG defense, and the hosts equalized after 76 minutes.

Luka Modric weaved around the midfield before finding Vinicius, who appeared to be running in on goal. The pass was returned by the Brazilian forward before Modric found Benzema with an exquisite play, and the striker finished the move with a deflection.

Real put pressure right away from the restart and completed a stunning comeback just two minutes later. Marquinhos was unable to effectively clear the ball, and it fell to Benzema, who side-footed the ball into the net to complete his hat-trick.

PSG falls, Messi falls and so do Mbappe and Neymar!

What does this result mean?

PSG plays the most exquisite football in the world when the fabulous front 3 link up. They are the best team in the galaxy when they have possession of the ball upfront.

But the moment they lose possession and are under some sort of pressure, they don’t know how to react!

It may be down to the fact that they are not used to this pressure week in, week out. Yes, they lost their last Ligue 1 match against Nice but they are 13 points clear already. And more often than not, this is always the case every season.

They are not used to losing football matches and they are not used to falling behind. The moment the score became 3-2 Real Madrid, PSG didn’t know how to react. They seemed to have no answers to what just had happened!

PSG needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out a lot of things because they just found out, putting a bunch of superstar footballers on a football field, doesn’t win you football matches!

On the other hand, there is not much to say about Real Madrid, but that they just proved why they are 13 times Champions! And PSG needs to borrow some of that monster mentality.
