Fulham took control of the Championship game away to Millwall and were ahead 2-0. The third period saw a spirited fightback from Millwall that fell just short and Fulham ultimately won the match 2-1.

The visitors Fulham started best and were already 0-1 up already from the kickoff. After only 3 minutes Aleksandar Mitrovic found the net, with an assist from Fabio Carvalho.

The team increased the lead to 0-2 early in the match when Fabio Carvalho made his mark as he scored, with an assist by Neeskens Kebano, in the 8th minute.

The goal that reduced the score to 1-2 came in the final minutes, when Benik Afobe scored a goal for Millwall, with an assist by Matt Smith. Millwall were unable to score any more goals. The 1-2 goal was the last goal of the game.

It was Millwall’s fourth game in a row without a win.

Millwall have three points after four games, while Fulham have taken seven points in three games.

Both teams will be back in action on Saturday when Millwall host Cardiff at Cardiff City Stadium and Fulham welcome Hull.
