Landon Donovan could have possibly played his final game with Everton and although Moyes decided not to start LD, he did allow him to make a last 20-minute appearance in which Donovan took advantage of.

Everton FC were already dominating Altidore and Hull City (Altidore did not start for Hull but did however played final 28 minutes)  3-1 before Donovan came on to the pitch and helped the club make the score even greater as he went on to tally a goal and assist only in the final 20 minutes giving Everton a 5-1 win.

Just moments after stepping on the field Donovan was already looking to set-up goals as he went on to set-up a play for Ayegeni Yakubu who ripped a shot into the fans directly in front of the goal. Yakubu had a tough game, lot’s of ugly touches, horrible shots, and even failed to convert a penalty-kick that Everton were even lucky to get. However, the missed shot from Yakubu was soon forgotten as Donovan was able to take a shot from a low-cross and was able to score his 2nd goal with the club. He  also went on to assist Jack Rodwell as Rodwell went on to put the game even further ahead. A great performance from Donovan in just 20 minutes.

Now with many fans are hoping for Donovan to stay at Everton as he is showing great skill and proving many people wrong about him not being able to perform against bigger teams, it will be interesting in seeing if Moyes considers upping the bid for LD in hopes of changing the mind of Bruce Arena who looks pretty much set in his mind to bringing back Donovan to the Galaxy, a move that some Galaxy fans are happy about but many American soccer fans upset about. Only time will tell as to what will happen with Landon Donovan, here is highlights of the game.
