Soccer World Actual

Good Morning all, as we await the start of the UEFA Champions League  matches this afternoon which would have some exciting matches, here are some of the latest news I have come across to get your day started off on the right foot. Feel free to share your thoughts on the following in the comments section below. (Click  to continue to read on the following topics I will be listing).

  • Fabregas wants Arsenal coach ‘Wenger’ to sign a Physical Striker
  • Manchester City looking to add defender Phil Lahm to squad
  • Striker Adrian looking to consider offer from the Premier League
  • Milan still interested in striker Dzeko

==============================================================================================================

  • Arsenal captain ‘Cesc Fabregas’ has made it known to Arsene Wenger that he wants him to sign a physical striker because he feels that the squad is to short in stature and need to consider a different kind of option in order to get better results in the club. In their last match against Stoke City in which they were able to come out victorious,  Wenger had started the shortest average height of any club at 5ft – 10ins, in a league that’s dominated by strength. In their past 2 matches before the Stoke City game, Arsenal had taken on Billionaire club’s Manchester City and Chelsea in which both matches Arsenal did seem to dominate possession but had problems getting behind both teams defenders because what seemed to be because of the lack of strength. Fabregas went on to state the following :

“Throughout the game [at Manchester City], we had a lot of possession but didn’t really have anyone to go in behind the defenders. We had a lot of similar players who like the ball into their feet. Sometimes you need a different kind of option. Against Chelsea we dominated the first 40 minutes without creating too much. Perhaps we had the same kind of problem and we were a little small to fight against them on crosses too. Overall I saw a Chelsea team that was normal but has probably the best striker in the world. Without Drogba, their team would not be the same.”

  • EPL side Manchester City have stated that they are ready to me a offer of £12 million for Bundesliga side and German International defender ‘Philipp Lahm’. Already spotted in Germany looking at different players, Manchester City boss Mark Hughes was seen at Alianz Areana last month checking out and being impressed by Lahm. This news will definitely worry City’s current defender Wayne Bridge who currently holds the left-back position  since he has not been having the best of seasons this season and having Lahm added to the squad will most definitely see him taking a seat on the bench.
  • Brazilian striker ‘Adriano’ is consideringg a move that will have him playing in Premier League side West Ham United. Adriano who was released by Serie A side Inter Milan had made a move to Flamengo and helped them succeed in winning their first title in 35 years and is now currently available on a free transfer. He went on to say the folllowing :

“I do not deny that I’ve received many offers. I know that teams want me in Italy and England. I will take my time over a decision so I don’t make any mistakes. I will think very long and I will also speak with friends and family. But now the only important thing is my happiness, not money.”

  • VfL Wolfsburg striker ‘Edin Dzeko’s agent has made it known that the 23 year old can make a move to Serie A side AC Milan as the Itilain club are interested in signing him. After a succesfull season with Wolfsburg and helping them win the German Championship, many clubs has been interested in  signing him but none seem more interested than AC Milan who definitely need a player of his caliber added to their club to make a major impact.
